HISTORY
After starting the Church of Christ (Holiness) U.S.A. in the South in 1907, Bishop Charles Price Jones convinced other church leaders to establish a church in the North. He knew that many blacks were moving to the North to find jobs and to escape discrimination in the South.
The first church in the North was established in 1917, in Saint Louis, Missouri. The fledgling church worshipped in many different places, including the homes of members, a funeral parlor and an old theater. The church on Page Boulevard was purchased in 1938 for $20,000. With dedication and hard work, membership in the church grew.
Christ Temple Cathedral was and still is a church of strong Biblical teaching and rooted denominational ties. Many God-fearing men and women have helped the church flourish. A number of renovation projects were completed throughout the years. However, with the passage of time, membership declined and parts of the building fell into disrepair. Many members moved from the city limits to North and South Counties.
The church is now contemplating changes that will hopefully enable it to become the church God wants it to be in the 21st century and beyond.

Reaching the Lost
We believe that lost people matter to God, and therefore they should matter to us. We will design and implement ministries to reach our neighbors, friends, and family members (Luke 19:10; Romans 10:13; Matthew 28:19).
Working as Disciples
We believe that equipping and mentoring believers will develop disciples who grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We will train disciples to be accountable and good stewards of all God's resources (2 Peter 3:18; 2 Timothy 2:2; 1 Corinthians 4:2).
Excellence in Administration
We believe that excellence honors God. We will pursue excellence in all that we do (Psalms 8:1; Hebrews 11:4; Colossians 3:23).
Nourished in the Word
We believe that anointed teaching and preaching of God's Word is the catalyst for transforming lives. We will proclaim God's Word with clarity and impact (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Peter 2:2; Romans 12:2).
Exalting in Worship
We believe that intimacy with God is our highest priority, as He reveals his presence and power to us. We will worship God privately and publicly in a real and relevant manner (Psalms 42:12, 95:6; John 4:24).
